Discharge of Swimming Pool Water into the
Public Right-of-Way

Every year about this time we receive  inquiries from concerned residents regarding the discharge of swimming pool water into the public right-of-way. We are advising that  chemicals in swimming pool water naturally dissipate over time (which is why pool owners must constantly monitor their pool water). Pool service companies time the removal of the summer's water so that these chemicals have been rendered inactive or are present in levels low enough that they will not harm the watershed.
