Chevy Chase Village to Host Arbor Day Event

Saturday, April 27, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

All are invited to attend an Arbor Day celebration in Newlands Park on Connecticut Avenue across from the Chevy Chase Club..

As part of Arbor Day celebrations across the country, the Village will be planting a tree and installing permanent labels for existing trees in that park. Refreshments will be offered and printed materials about tree care and tree identification will be available. An age-appropriate activity for young children is being planned.
 
Having been designated a Tree City, USA for 2018 by the Arbor Day Foundation we seek to maintain that status for 2019. This event will help achieve that and be a celebration of Village trees. Click here to see the flier.
