Power Outage Affecting Homes on
West Kirke and West Irving Streets

 
A tree that had two branches fall off overnight in the rear yard of 17 West Irving Street has brought down a power line and caused a power outage to several homes in the vicinity.  The outage has just expanded as PEPCO crews are preparing to remove the tree and repair the lines.
 
Currently, power is out to homes in the blocks of West Kirke Street and West Irving Street located between Connecticut Avenue and Cedar Parkway.  PEPCO estimates that power should be restored by 1:00 p.m. today.  The Village will send an updated blast email if the estimated restoration time changes.
