Christmas Tree Collection
in Progress
The Village’s Public Works staff is actively collecting Christmas trees that have been set out for disposal. This collection began immediately following the holidays and will continue as long as needed; however, with a limited staff, recent snow/ice events have slowed down collection. Please be patient as we address the backlog. We expect to collect all trees that are currently out by close-of-business on Friday, January 19. Typically trees are collected within one week of being set-put for collection.
Residents are reminded that all ornaments and lighting must be removed as natural trees, garland and wreaths are mulched by the county and any man-made attachments that remain can damage the equipment and taint the mulch. Wreaths and garland consisting of artificial materials should be disposed of in regular trash and artificial trees should be scheduled for the weekly special pick-up.
