Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, County Agency Leaders to Hold Second Virtual Community BriefingThursday, April 16, at 5 p.m. Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will hold a virtual community briefing on Thursday, April 16, from 5-6:30 p.m. to discuss the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on County residents and the County’s response to the crisis. Mr. Elrich will be joined by leaders from key County agencies:
- Dr. Travis Gayles, County Health Officer
- Marcus Jones, Chief, County Department of Police
- Dr. Jack Smith, Superintendent, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
- Heather Bruskin, Executive Director, Montgomery County Food Council
The briefing will be simultaneously translated into Spanish. Officials will respond to questions submitted by County residents via social media and email. This virtual community briefing will be streamed live on the County’s website and Facebook page, as well as on the County's YouTube channel, and the MCPS website. The event will be broadcast on County Cable Montgomery, found on Comcast channel 6, RCN channels 996 and 1056, and Verizon channel 30. Spanish translation will be broadcast on Condado TV, found on Comcast channel 33, RCN channel 88 and Verizon channel 35, as well on the County’s Facebook page.
