As of early this morning (Friday, July 6) power has been restored to all home in the Village following last weeks storms. The Village Public Works Department has now focused its efforts on debris clean-up. Thus far, the Public Works department has collected over 30 tons of yard waste debris.
Pursuant to Section 10-9 of the Village Code residents are reminded that their contractors are responsible for hauling away debris they generate when clearing trees from private property. This section reads in part that: "Lawn and garden debris, other than leaves, generated and accumulated by private lawn and garden services must be removed by the contractor. Tree removal services are responsible for the disposal of all tree debris."
In an effort to assist the Village Public Works crews the Village is asking residents for their support in keeping recently planted trees watered while the Public Works staff focuses on storm cleanup operations.
