The Chevy Chase Village Police Department is seeking qualified applicants to establish an eligibility list for Police Officers.

 

 

Village Police Officer:   Performs patrol functions in assigned areas, responds to calls for routine and emergency service, arrests violators of laws, completes reports, enforces the laws of the State of Maryland and Chevy Chase Village Ordinances, testifies in court, and performs routine and additional duties as assigned for the purpose of maintaining order and protecting life and property.

 

 

Starting Salary:   $49,130 plus a generous benefits package.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

·        Maryland Certified Police Officer

·        U.S. Citizenship

·        21 years of age or older

·        Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

·        Valid driver's license

·        Successful completion of comprehensive background investigation

·        Ability to pass employment physical and State mandated drug screen tests

·        Ability to pass employment psychological screening examination
