Resident survey results indicate a request from several Village residents for an increase in police patrol presence. We have identified four patrol zones that encompass all Village addresses. Village Police are now able to capture time spent on patrol activities, house checks, code enforcement, crime prevention, etc. within each zone. The zone concept will allow us to put added resources in those areas experiencing an increase in crime or traffic-related problems.
The new patrol zones will not affect the level of service Village residents have come to expect from the Village Police. We expect to provide better service and accountability for events or incidents occurring within every zone. The zones are set up as follows:
